About ParliamentThe Western Australian Parliament is made up of two Houses:
The Government of the day is formed by the political party with most members in the Lower House. The Legislative Council reviews government bills, scrutinises government activity and debates the important issues of the day. Bills must pass through a formal process in both Houses of Parliament in order to become law. For a list of Bills currently before Parliament, click here.
